    Summer 2017 College Now courses at LaGuardia Community College will be offered from July 5 to August 3. Courses offered: Thinking Critically about Education; Social and Political Philosophy; Introductory Nutrition. All courses include free tuition, a MetroCard, lunch, textbooks, and course materials. Welcome to Queens Vocational and Technical High School, where we pride ourselves on excellent teaching and student success. Our eight career majors prepare college and career-ready students who are able to meet the needs of the 21st century workforce.

Spend some time looking through our website, our career majors, and extracurricular activities. Come visit us in person at a high school fair, our open house, or call our guidance office for more information. If you wish to transfer to our school, please contact the nearest Family Welcome Center.

Thank you for your interest in Queens Vocational and Technical High School for your child's education. We offer industry-level career and college preparatory programs. We believe that students who graduate from our school are well-prepared for both college and the world of work.

Here are the codes and admissions rubrics for our 9th grade programs:

Q68B - Graphic Arts (Audition)

Q68 M - Exploration of Careers (Ed. Opt.)

Q68N - Computer Technology and Operation Systems (Screened)

Q68O - Cosmetology and Salon Management (Screened)


We recommend that if you are applying to the screened programs, you also apply to Exploration of Careers, which is our largest program.
